Unfortunately, my best friend moved to Portland recently. I'm sure it's fortunate for her because she loves it there. I like it too, but I am staying in Los Angeles, where I was born and raised. I know there aren't many of us here like me. A lot of Angelinos are transplants. We've got a ton of people living here that came from the cold Northeast. There are some who move here, acclimate, and decide to make this their home. Then there are many others who think Los Angeles is all about glamour and movie stars. Well, it's not. And those people go elsewhere or back to the state from which they came. Our city is crowded, has awful traffic, and can have some crime. But it's full of rich culture and diversity. That's one of the main things I love. We've got all types of people from all walks of life, ethnicities, religions, and other garden varieties. I can go out and see any kind of live music from reggae, to rock, to country-western, to jazz. We've got dance clubs with disco, swing, hip-hop, you name it. And the restaurants are amazing. Along with enjoying any of fun, we dress cool. I'm into the latest fashions and even if I can only afford one item, that's good for me. RedDress.com does not fit into my world. Their clothes look like they're from another era, but trying to look hip. Their dresses are lovely, and decently priced, but not for me.
