About Mindy Mae's Market:
I've really been trying to revamp my closet. My clothes seem so outdated overall. I have several items that are evergreen, they can be worn anytime, there's no particular "trend" attached to them. A friend recently asked if she could borrow a pair of jeans (since we're a similar size.) "Sure!" I remarked, knowing I have about 14 pairs. Well, when we started going through them, it was depressing. Some legs were so bell-bottomed and completely out of style. The boot-cut ones were still cute, but they looked so worn out. As it turned out, I only had four acceptable pair. That's fine because I don't need more. What I really need are sweaters and dresses. I have a few cute jackets, but a snuggly, not too bulky, yet feminine sweater is something I need in my wardrobe. I also could use a pair of flirty sandals. I've got comfy flip-flops, but it would be great to have something with a little heel that I can wear with a skirt or sundress. As for dresses, I have one and I don't care for the way it fits. I've got a couple of skirts, so I'm good there. Another friend recommended MindyMaesMarket.com for sandals and dresses. No way are their styles for me. First of all, vertical stripes look good on no one. I think their sandals and sneakers, sorry, are just ugly. I'm sure someone likes their stuff, but I couldn't find one thing that I would wear, even if it were free.
