Many health insurance companies cover the Optum fees for vir visits and prescriptions. Optum Pharmacy will fill your subscriptions and send them to your home for your convenience. There's no more driving to the drugstore and waiting in line when you don't feel well. There is even a My Medications reminder app that will text you as a reminder of when you need to take your next dose of medication. You can reorder medications from anywhere since it is an online service. You can easily find a doctor for an in-office visit or for a virtual visit. Just select your state and city and you will see various doctors and their locations and phone numbers listed. If you have a health savings account (HSA) or Medicare Advantage Medical Savings Account (MSA), you can purchase medical supplies with the funds you have saved.
Cons: This service would be convenient for some people, but many others would not like the lack of privacy since everything about their medical history would be available at Optum.
