About Oneida:
I love to cook and bake. I prefer cooking to baking, but leave me alone for a few hours, I and will whip something up for dinner and dessert. It's kind of my Zen. I have the basic needs such as pots, pans, and steamers. I have a rice cooker that I use often, but I have a crock-pot I've used a total of maybe five times. To me, that's not the same. It has merit for sure, in the concocting department. But I enjoy adding ingredients as I go along. I also like to be in charge of temperature and readiness. For baking, I've got the muffin pans, regular and mini, a bundt pan (which I've used once), stacking oven trays, measuring cups and spoons, etc. There's a lady I work with and she brings in treats once in a while. She transports them on this fancy, bakery stand. It's really beautiful, but items like that, I just don't have because I feel like I wouldn't use them enough. There is one item that I absolutely must have. I want glass food containers to hold leftovers. I'm not comfortable putting my hot food in plastic. On Oneida.com I found different shaped glass rectangle food holders with BPA-free lids. They were exactly what I wanted and the price was fantastic. I can even put them in the oven when I want to reheat. I was never a fan of Oneida's dishware, but on this site, I see some really great Anchor Hocking products.
