My daughter is in college. She had gone away the first year and lived off campus. It was pretty much a disaster. Please don't judge. I hear this is quite common these days. I'm not sure if kids are not ready to leave home, or if life out there is just too stressful nowadays. Anyway, she got moved in, had a seemingly great roommate, and after that, I'm not sure what went wrong. I know the roommate got a boyfriend and was never home. My daughter became horribly lonely. Aside from that, she couldn't keep up with her schoolwork. So, now she's back home and going to the community college, which is actually quite good. And, it's affordable. I wanted to help her get extremely organized and feel secure. We didn't need a repeat of last year. One thing I thought was important for her to have was a good bag for her laptop. She used a shoulder bag of mine for a bit, but it became too cumbersome with carrying all the books and the binder. So, we started looking into backpacks. Hiking packs worked awesome. My only concern was the lack of padding. OGIO.com has very nice laptop backpacks on their site. It appears that they will protect the computer and there's also room to hold some books. I like all the pockets for the accessories like pens, etc. The price is fine and I hear their customer service is excellent. I just wish it the bag was water resistant.
