I've always exercised. When I was really young, I played tag and chased every dog in the neighborhood. My dad was into martial arts, so he never encouraged me to go into any type of team sport. I guess, also, he never saw the value in participating in an "all-American" sport. I mean, I was/am a girl and I wouldn't/couldn't play football. So what sport was left for lil' ole poor me? I wasn't made of cheerleader virtue (thank goodness), and they didn't have a track and field club or team in my area where I grew up. I made the high school volleyball club, and I'm sure that was by default. I loved the sport and was talented athletically, but I'm sure there were other girls who actually understood the game better, but, unfortunately, couldn't get the ball over the net. Nonetheless, once I escaped high school (specifically mine), I got a better picture of female athleticism. That's when I found my love for running.
Running is such a subjective "love" thing. Personally, if I were told by a doctor that I could never run again, I would end my life before he finished his diagnosis. But I know there are others who hate moving at a pace faster than a meander. Regardless, HolabirdSports.com feels me. I found the best running shoes on this site.
