Pros: It's clear that FootJoy.com creates some quality products. Their first golf shoe was created in 1857. You'd have to make a worthy item in order to stay in business for over 150 years. Of course, there have been other companies that have acquired their original store (one was even General Mills in the 1970's) and spent research and manufacturing time improving their product. They started with shoes and then moved to gloves, and then added socks, apparel, and other golf gear. Footjoy has been the leading shoe on the PGA tour for over 60 years. That would speak to its performance. As for looks, we really appreciated the styles and colors. We also liked that you could customize your pair of shoes (with bold or subtle shades) and even add your monogram. The spike or spikeless option is also a nice touch.
Cons: If you're not an avid golfer, you may not want to spend so much on your shoes or gloves. Granted, they are a fine quality, but if you go out to the course only once or twice a year, you don't need to invest that much. And, although the women's apparel is very nice, we were disappointed that they only offered one long-sleeved style. Protection from the sun is necessary and more golfers these days are preferring protective clothing.
