Please don't hate me because I'm petite. Trust me, it isn't as "cute" as you think to be me. I swear, people pat me on the head. They say things like, "You're so tiny!" as if that is some type of compliment. I am five-foot tall on a tall day, and I won't even mention how much I weigh because you will think I'm nine years old. I've spent many years shopping for clothes in the "Juniors" section. Now that I'm a mature adult, I look ridiculous in a lot of the current teen styles. I've learned to shop online, which gives me more options, but can be a drag when I have to return items. The one site I have been most happy with is BananaRepublic.com. For starters, the quality of the clothing supersedes most clothing retailers. I wouldn't consider Banana Republic high-end, but it certainly presents with a more sophisticated look than many similar-priced stores. Recently, I went online to find a pair of slim pants, the trendy ones that cut-off at the ankle. The beauty of this site is that I know this petite line will fit me. I won't have to hem or worry about pants being baggy.
I found a couple of really adorable pairs, but then, of course, I had to have new shoes. BananaRepublic.com carries many shoes in my size-5 foot size, but unfortunately, not enough variation for my taste.
