You Will Not Become A Millionaire If…

Everybody wants money, whether it is one hundred dollars or one hundred million dollars. While being a millionaire is a dream of hundreds, thousands, if not every single person on the planet, knowing what steps not to take to become a millionaire can surely help you. There are a lot of misconceptions of how to become a millionaire. Do not fall for these “hints” and “tricks” to becoming a millionaire. They are nothing but baloney and could end up costing you money instead of making it.

1. You think you will win a lottery one day
One of the most common misconceptions about becoming a millionaire is the lottery. While it is very true that one person becomes extremely rich in a matter of seconds thanks to the lottery, the chances of that actually happening is very, very low. When it comes to the lottery, you are competing with millions of other individuals. Your actual chances of winning the lottery is way below 1%, and those are not very good odds. The worst part about this misconception is that individuals will actually spend a ton of money each year trying to win the lottery, and this money could be going to much better things such as starting a new business or saving up for expensive items. When it comes to your luck in the lottery with attempts to become instantly rich, it is best just to pass.

2. You think you are lucky enough to win a jackpot in Las Vegas
Las Vegas is pretty cool- there are a ton of great places to visit, amazing food to eat, and of course, a whole lot of slot machines and tables where people can win thousands of dollars. While Las Vegas is a great place to go for fun and the expectation to lose a lot of money, some people are under the impression that they have enough luck to win the jackpot in Las Vegas. Your chances of actually winning the biggest jackpot in Las Vegas is about as small as your chance at winning the lottery. With that being said, it would be best to pass on your belief of winning the huge jackpot and settle for small winnings; because even small earnings inside of a casino is something to be proud of as most people will lose all of their money and walk out with less money then they have ever imagined.

3. You respond to an ‘Instant Millionaire’ emails
If you are on the internet often and have an email address, then there is probably no doubt that you have received an ‘Instant Millionaire’ at one point. These emails can come from a lot of different locations from Nigeria to the United States, and they seem to be gaining popularity with each day. Nigerian letters stating that the email recipient can instantly become a millionaire is exciting to a lot of people as they believe they have been chosen to receive a ton of money. However, what these individuals do not know is that these letters are nothing but scams. You will not be receiving any money from these emails, and the most you can expect is a lot of spam coming into your email. In some cases you may even start to receive mail to your home address or perhaps see charges to your credit card account. When you see ‘Instant Millionaire’ emails in your email inbox, it is best to run the other way and delete these scam letters immediately. If only things were really that easy in life, right?

4. You purchase a booklet from a website which promises you to become a millionaire
There are a lot of books out there ranging from fiction to romance novels, science to history books, and so much more; there is even a huge market for books promising to help one become a millionaire. These books are said to have proven methods to help individuals become millionaires- practically overnight! While some of these books may have a couple of good ideas at how to become a millionaire, most of these supposedly helpful books are filled with nothing but scam ideas that the average individual will not be able to complete. What these millionaire booklets are really about is making the person who wrote it a millionaire, not the person who bought it. When it comes to millionaire booklets, it is best to pass this book up and check out your favorite genre instead.

5. You think millionaire matchmaker can help you
If you like to watch reality television shows, then you have probably seen the show ‘Millionaire Matchmaker’. This show is a great show that helps millionaires struggling to find love be able to meet the woman or man of their dreams. While watching this show you have probably thought to yourself, ‘Why can’t I get on that show and meet a rich man or woman?’ Your chances of being on this show are very slim, as thousands upon thousands of applicants try and get on the Millionaire Matchmaker show. If you actually do get chosen for the ‘mixer’ (when the millionaire gets to meet his potential dates), your chances for being chosen for the one on one date with said millionaire are incredibly low. While the Millionaire Matchmaker show is fun to watch, your chances of getting on the show and having the millionaire fall madly in love with you is as likely as winning the lottery.

If you truly want to become a millionaire, you should never try the aforementioned ideas. Years of hard work, creating a business, and other things of this nature are the only true ways to become a millionaire. Do not get lost in the ideas that so many people claim to be instant ways to success. These ideas will ultimately lead to your failure and you will end up losing money instead of your original plan, which was to make as much as possible.
