About DUER:
I used to work at the clinic at the gated retirement community. It was a very upscale facility in a semi-rich neighborhood. We were required to wear dresses, skirts, or nice slacks. We had the uniform lab coat, but they wanted us to appear classy with the rest of our attire. I didn't mind, but I only had a couple pairs of nice long pants. The rest of the time I would have to wear stockings because the office was always cold. My favorite thing to wear was leggings, but the clinic office manager didn't really approve, and I didn't want to aggravate her. I've since switched jobs and now I work at a different retirement community. It's not as swanky, but it's large and beautiful, and the residents are so happy. I have no uniform here. I started wearing my leggings with nice long Tees, but I realized I had no pockets for my keys or phone. We don't wear coats or jackets here, so I tried jeans. They were either not flexible enough for all the running around I do, or they'd stretch out and be so baggy by the end of the day. My best new purchase is a performance denim from ShopDuer.com. They don't fade in color and I like the narrow style. The material "gives" as I run about. They cost more than I'd spend on regular jeans, but, to me, they're worth more. I can wear them over and over and they fit and feel perfect.
