Some of the most fun childhood memories I have are visiting extended family. We had a bunch of cousins who lived in Oklahoma. I grew up in Maine and it was like a completely different planet. Actually, my one cousin lived in a tiny town about an hour outside of Tulsa, Oklahoma. It had one stoplight that really just blinked. There was a small post office where people had to go and fetch their mail-there were no letter carriers to deliver. There was one school for grades K through 8 and another for 9 through 12. The high school had a big football field, but also to host the annual rodeo in the summer. They also had a community pool that cost 25 cents and we could come and go all day. I remember it being hot and humid and few places had air conditioning. Even though this may sound humdrum, as a young kid visiting there, playing with probably eight peers on any given day, it was a very fun experience in it's own quaint and non-chaotic way. Our family reunion is being held there this year and I've been looking for reasonably priced airlines tickets. I like Orbitz.com because I have many options of flights, airlines, and times. I also appreciate that if I'm flexible with my travel dates, I can get a better fare. The only thing that I'm not crazy about is that in order to get the best deal, don't plan on getting there non-stop.
