About SeatGeek:

To me, there is nothing better than seeing your favorite musician play live. But it has to either be in a small arena, or if it's a larger one, I need to be sitting up close. I don't care for sitting in the "nosebleed" seats watching what looks like ants on a stage, and then having to watch a huge screen. Even on the huge screen, you only get to see close-ups of what the cameraperson decides you'll see. Also, I feel like the acoustics get warped in a huge stadium. Sure, it can get loud, but is it as crisp as it could be? I also love outdoor amphitheaters-but then sometimes you're at the mercy of the weather. I've been to indoor amphitheaters and they offer a nice quality-environment to hear live music. So with all this said, I don't mind paying good money if it means I get to have the experience of watching musicians that I love in one of my preferable venues. I will usually try to get involved in pre-sales through credit cards offers to make sure I get good seats early-on. Now I'm in a pickle because I bought too many seats to a particular concert. I went on SeatGeek.com to sell two of them. They take 15% of the sale, but really, besides word-of-mouth, I don't have a lot of options to sell the tickets. The site also gives you an idea of what others are selling their seats for too, which is helpful.
