Keepsakequilting.com has a easy to browse website which was great because when my grandmother got too sick to visit the crafts and fabric store near home, she was able to learn how to use the website. She loved knitting and wanted to continue the habit even if she was too sick to shop around at store, keepsakequilting.com was a huge positive in keeping their website fun but simple and geared towards an older audience.
A pro was the bali die cuts. They were pre cut, taking away lots of time from my grandma having to cut them herself, and they had plenty of traditional themes, colors, patterns, shapes, and sizes. Specifically, we bought the "5" colorful fern batik collection" which had 12 colors on one medium sized fabric. The one order of this kind came with two pieces of the fabric, giving 24 pieces that could be cut up smaller if needed.
We were incredibly disappointed with the "first frost snow buds quilt pattern by Mckenna Ryan". Firstly, the price was a little on the expensive side once we realized how thin the quilt piece was and how easily the seams could be pulled, which showed how easily the picture could be ruined. While it seemed easy enough to put on the quilt, it was so hard to not break the piece that we opted not to even try.
